Ingredients in Colopril
Fennel Seed, which is commonly used in traditional medicines and many different cuisines, has numerous benefits for the digestive system. In addition to being an effective anti-inflammatory that alleviates intestinal swelling, it is high in soluble fiber, which makes it ideal for relieving constipation while also reducing uncomfortable symptoms such as bloating, gas, and stomach cramps. Fennel Seeds are often used as part of weight management plans as they help control the appetite and produce a feeling of fullness, reducing the temptation to overeat. In one study that examined the link between Fennel Seed and weight loss, 100% of the participants reported that they didn’t feel any additional hunger despite eating fewer calories at mealtimes.
Lactobacillus Acidophilus (10 b per/gram)
Although people have always eaten probiotics in the form of fermented foods, it’s only recently that they’ve become such a buzzword in the health industry. Often described as ‘friendly’ or ‘good’ bacteria, Lactobacillus Acidophilus offers a range of benefits, mostly for the digestive system, but many other aspects of wellbeing too. It is one of the most highly researched forms of probiotic, and there is solid clinical evidence to show that it supports better overall digestive function and gastrointestinal health. In a study to determine how beneficial Lactobacillus Acidophilus is for relieving constipation, the group who ate yogurt containing additional probiotics every morning experienced significant relief within just 14 days compared to the placebo group.
Psyllium Seed is a soluble fiber often added to breakfast foods to maintain regularity, although it has many other health benefits too that include lowering levels of blood sugar and LDL (bad) cholesterol. Because it absorbs large quantities of water, becoming bulky and resistant to the digestive process, it stimulates intestinal contractions and helps to push waste through the tract more efficiently, which not only relieves constipation, but prevents the build up of toxic waste in the colon. Adding Psyllium Seed to the diet is recommended for weight management too; participants in a 12-week study taking Psyllium Seed daily not only lost more weight than the placebo group but reported a significant reduction in the percentage of body fat too.
Alfalfa Leaf is a rich source of vitamins and minerals such as copper, manganese, thiamin, and iron and has traditionally been used as a natural diuretic for the management of kidney stones and urinary tract infections. However, this nutrient dense ingredient also exhibits powerful anti-inflammatory properties and is a potent antioxidant that enhances overall health by eliminating free radicals in the body. You’ll often find Alfalfa Leaf used in cleansing supplements due to its detoxifying qualities, and it is highly beneficial for the digestive system; in addition to helping neutralize harmful bacteria in the gut, it works to break down carbohydrates, proteins, and fats more efficiently, thus reducing indigestion, gas, and bloating.
Ginger root is traditionally used for improving digestion, although it also promotes weight loss, lowers oxidative stress, relieves nausea, and eases several other gastrointestinal problems. Numerous studies have shown that ginger fights bacterial infections and even modifies the way neurotransmitters react to gastrointestinal distress. In one study of note, patients who had undergone a gynecological procedure were given one gram of ginger, and within 2-4 hours experienced a drastic reduction in nausea. Clinical trials have also shown ginger to be highly effective in reducing inflammation and the gastrointestinal irritation that can cause heartburn and acid reflux.
Oat Bran is a healthy grain power-packed with vitamins and minerals, plus soluble and insoluble fiber, which both promote healthy bowel movements, thereby reducing constipation. The benefits of Oat Bran in relation to this common condition, that affects approximately 20% of the population, are well documented; one study indicated that within only 12 weeks, clinical trial participants who consumed just 7 to 8 grams of Oat Bran daily experienced relief from constipation without the need to take a laxative . Oat Bran is also known to help individuals trying to lose weight by suppressing the appetite. Participants in a study who were given an Oat Bran-based cereal for breakfast consumed far less calories at their following meal than individuals given corn-based cereal, allowing them to reach their weight loss goals in significantly less time.
Cascara Sagrada Bark
The colon cleansing effects of this natural bark extract were discovered by Native Americans centuries ago. This ingredient has a laxative effect that makes it useful for relieving constipation. The most astonishing property of cascara sagrada bark, however, is that it can support the strengthening of intestinal tract muscles while boosting levels of both water and electrolytes inside the colon. When consumed in adequate amounts, this extract frequently enhances bowel elimination.
Barley Rice Fiber
A familiar cereal grain, barley contains extremely high levels of dietary fiber. Benefits associated with this part of the Colopril formulation include less indigestion, relief from constipation, and faster removal of waste to discourage the collection of toxins and fecal material in the colon.
The fiber sources in Colopril help remove excess waste from the colon, while the lemon peel in the formula supplements these effects by addressing the associated problem of toxin accumulation. Lemon peel is naturally high in vitamin C, allowing it to have antioxidant effects in the body that neutralize and destroy the toxins that can adversely impact a person’s overall health.
This plant extract was included in our formulation because it has long been used for its medicinal benefits. Traditionally, beet root has been used for its laxative properties that can relieve constipation and for its ability to address various digestion-related issues. Beet root is also a good source of dietary fiber that can promote optimal bowel function and help remove toxins from the digestive system.
The unique properties of mint make it capable of positively affecting the digestive system in a number of ways. Mint is known to relieve indigestion, promote optimal digestion by boosting secretions of essential “juices,” and ease gastrointestinal upset. Mint is also a
breath freshener, which can help Colopril users fight the bad breath a dirty colon can cause until the digestive tract has been fully cleansed.
Apple Pectin and Apple Powder
Found in extremely high concentrations in apples, pectin is a type of fiber that is water soluble. Like other soluble fibers, apple pectin bulks up stools, which enhances the removal of waste from the colon and makes stools easier to pass. In one study, researchers also found that apple pectin can raise the number of helpful bacteria found in the intestinal tract. These beneficial bacteria are associated with better digestion and enhanced nutrient absorption.
Found in many dishes, garlic can naturally relieve constipation, an extremely common problem for those who need a colon cleanser. Garlic helps remove pathogens, heavy metals, and other toxins from the body. It is also a good source of potassium, which supports the muscle contractions that are necessary for the ultimate removal of waste from the body.
Like several of the other ingredients in Colopril, guar gum is an excellent source of soluble fiber. Benefits of consuming an optimal amount of this extract include faster movement of waste through the intestinal tract, relief from constipation, and better elimination of fecal waste from the body. It can also bulk up stool, thereby supporting the muscle contractions that help transport food through the digestive tract.
